Farm Share

Farm Share, using inmate labor and volunteers, re-sorts and packages an abundance of surplus food and distributes it to individuals, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, churches, and other organizations feeding the hungry in Florida — free of charge.

This important distinction makes Farm Share critical to small community groups, located in poor neighborhoods and rural areas, which cannot afford to pay for food.

By tapping into a vast supply of donated produce, we keep our costs low, while providing fresh fruits and vegetables and other nutritious food to the hungry and food insecure.

Christ’s Starfish Foundation

Christ’s Starfish Foundation began on August 7, 2006 with an event that Carldon Lahey thought would take his life. In actuality it was our Lord calling him to begin a ministry that, over 7 months later, would become Christ’s Starfish Foundation.

For the last 10 years, through the efforts of an amazingly dedicated and supportive Board, extremely effective leadership in each city, and hundreds of hard working volunteers, Christ’s Starfish Foundation has touched the lives of approximately 5500 children with support totaling around $ 750,000.

The Tesori Family Foundation

The Tesori Family Foundation was founded in 2009 by former PGA TOUR player and current PGA TOUR caddie, Paul Tesori along with his then fiancee (now proud wife) Michelle, to give back to those in need in the Northeast Florida community.

In early 2014, after the much anticipated arrival of baby Isaiah (and his extra special extra chromosome!), the foundation expanded to give back not only in Paul’s hometown community, but throughout the United States, adding specific programming for children with special needs including but not limited to children with the same diagnosis as Isaiah, Down syndrome. Having always had hearts committed to giving back, the Tesoris began by selecting several charities to support throughout the year, with focuses ranging from childhood homelessness to battered women’s shelters, from children battling disease like cancer to animal rescue charities like the Jacksonville Humane Society.

Rethreaded

Rethreaded’s mission is to renew hope, reignite dreams, and release potential of survivors of human trafficking through business.

Rethreaded started with a simple idea and a strong passion from its founder, Kristin Keen. She began by forming relationships with women on the street and making prison visits and realized that the greatest need was for a safe, supportive work environment where the women could earn money while learning a skill and experiencing continued healing through community. Working in partnership with the City Rescue Mission of Jacksonville, Rethreaded hired its first full-time employee in November 2012.
